I have a SB4100 cable modem, and during the past month it
won't go online. I have called my cable provider and was
told that my signal is low. Is there anyway that I can
test or raise my signal myself. I am able to get online
thru a dial up connection. Can I force a signal
connection? I appreciate the help.

If the signal levels are too low, you need to have a
cable technican come out and examine the line. There is
nothing you can do that will affect signal levels between
your cable modem and the cable company.

I believe that the cable tech. can check the signal up to
the house or possibly inside the house also, but you
should check the line leading to your cable modem from
outside. If it is accessible you could try to change out
this cable.
