I've been having trouble with my Internal Modem on my computer. The Modem
will connect to the Internet without a problem, but after about 5 minutes the
modem disconnects. I installed a new Internal modem but the same problem
occurs. When I use my old external sportster modem, like right now, it
doesn't disconnect. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this
problem?

Your modem probably has a facility to create a log of all
its operations - it would be in Control Panel / Modems.
Turn on full logging, then examine the log file. It will be
located in the folder c:\Windows.

Some computers hate the crappy Lucent (Agere chipset) winmodems. Try a
Conexant chipset modem.
