I have installed XP 64 bit edition which appears to be having problems seeing my conexant hcf 56k pci internal modem. XP Home edition recognises modem no problems i have tried different drivers but 64 bit edition still seems unable to detect. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I had a smiliar problem to you, which I managed to solve
by installing it's latest drivers, I also had a conexant
modem, basically make sure your drivers are properly
installed, you can do this by uninstalling the current
drivers and re-installing it again, it may have been an
error, or you can go directly to the conexant website and
install the latest modem drivers, updating your modem,
this should work, if not please email me at
(e-mail address removed)

Thank you,

Septimus.

Find and install the specific drivers you need that get along with your
new OS. Cross
your fingers that your modem maker has written such drivers.

There are probably few drivers available for 64 bit edition than 32
bit versions. You probably need to download a driver for it from
