I've just upgraded to XP from windows 98 and my modem (a Diamond Multimedia SupraSST 56i PRO) has stopped working. When I try to connect to the net I get an error message to the effect that it can't find a dialling tone, yet there were problems under 98 (ie two days ago). XP seems to think the driver is okay, but displays the modem just as 'generic56k'. Any ideas would be hugely appreciated..
Many thanks!

1) Make sure your phoneline is connected to the correct port on your modem.
2) Uninstall then reinstall your modem to make sure it is properly
identified and the correct drivers are loaded. Did you get an install disk
with the modem? During the reinstall you might try using the disk instead of
the XP drivers.

Hello

You need to go to their website and look for drivers that
support XP,
