Modem problem

If I am on the wrong board please tell me where to go (nicely). Problem: I
am using XP, when I am on line and receive an incoming phone call the modem
windwo will pop up notifing me, my options are to skip the call of "click
answer" and pick up the receiver. The "timer" starts to count down - about
7 minutes before it drops me off the web. There is also a "resume" button
to use when my phone conversation is over. However - when I click on
"answer" the computer does not let the phone line ring through and I can't
talk to anyone. I am constantly losing incoming calls. Solutions?

TIA

I would recommend get some type of high-speed Internet connection. Much
faster than standard dial-up and you can still use your phone.

If you can not get high-speed, then make sure you have the latest drivers
available installed on your syatwm and/or the latest software version for
the Internet call-waiting.

It seems like a driver problem to me, but I am by no means an expert on
v.92 modems. I suggest the <newsgroup . If the newsgroup name looks like a link, then clicking on
it will take you directly to the group; otherwise, try copying the link
into your browser's address bar and hitting the Enter key.
