Modem hang up

When online i would like my modem to hang up / disconnect
from the internet thus allowing my phone to ring so i'll
recieve the incomming call. Pleace advise with options as
to whether i require hardware or software. My operating
system is Windows XP PRO

Just get BB so that you cna do both at the same time

see if your isp has something called like the 'internet
call director'. it reroutes your phone line and you can
choose to answer or ignore but you at least know someone
is calling.
you disconnect if you answer
some third party carriers have this service too but may not
be reliable and cost more.

or have call waiting and no *70, in the dialing string.
