Modem Help / XP Home

I am running XP Home with a US Robotics 56k modem. The modem will not
release the phone line after or between calls. I have to unplug it for a
few seconds and replug it in for it to release the phone line.

I can disconnect from the internet but the modem won't actually hang up the
line. Any ideas.......I'm Lost.

Sounds like the release string is corrupt. Try either
getting a new driver from www.usrobotics.com or try
removing and reinstalling the modem. Keep smiling.
