Modem Driver Error

Last time I have update my Windows XP pro SP- 2 that found a new modem
driver from the update list. After update the drive, my modem couldn't work
anymore with an exclamation mark. I try to uninstall or roll back the driver
without success to get back the modem work anymore! Call to notebook support
centre, the supporter teach me to reinstall whole Windows to solve my
problem.

Can anyone teach me how to solve it? I don't want to reinstall whole windows
just for this problem.

As posted numerous times do NOT use winupdate for drivers.
You do not mention why you cannot roll back the driver.
Visit your laptop manu site for hw updates, including the modem driver

Hi DL,

No any error after apply the roll back function. After reboot the notebook,
the modem still show exclamation mark.
I have already download and installed the update modem dirver from the
notebook manu site but sitll not work.
Any suggestion?

Locate Modem in Hardware Devices, remove and reboot
