Modem damage

I requested info/help recovering my laptop after a
thunderstorm. I sent the request Jul 24 or 25 and have
not received a reply or didn't see it. Where will the
reply appear since I have not used this system before?
 
You should contact the manufacturer of your laptop computer
for assistance regarding modem damage. Your problem is
not related to Windows XP issues.
