Modem Box Has Dissapeared After Upgrading

I upgraded ms antispyware to version 1.509,[via
MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe]
and now my modem disconnect box has vanished.i have to double click the
modem icons
now if i want to come offline,i use win xp home edition.everything was OK
when i used version 1.0501

I don't use analog modems very frequently these days--can you explain what
this disconnect box looked like ? Do you connect via customized software
provided by your ISP?
