Mobile Device Center - Not Able to Save Password

I am using released version of Windows Vista and the Beta 3 version of
Windows Mobile Device Center. I have my PD running Windows Mobile 5.0 syncing
successfully.

The problem is that every time I sync, it asks me to enter the device
password and the "Save Password" checkbox is disabled.

How can I enable the checkbox to allow Vista to save the device's password
so that I do not have to enter it each time?

R3i,

As this question seems to be more WMDC-specific (since it's still beta), I'm
crossposting my answer to appropriate newsgroup
(microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync). You can also send your feedback on
WMDC Beta to (e-mail address removed)

As for password checkbox, I can confirm this issue. It seems that password
is remembered for single logon session (though corresponding checkbox is
dimmed) but is required again after reboot.

The other drawback of not remembering the password is that if you are just
cradling your device to recharge the battery it locks up your desktop until
you enter the password. I have two devices and I finally just turned off the
passwords due to the loss of productivity in entering passwords multiple
times every day.
