Mobile Device Center (Beta 3) Issues

I recently updated my RC1 to RC2 and downloaded the Mobile Device Center
(Beta 3) package from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx

My problem is when I run the installer nothing happens. I double click it
and it looks like it will run but nothing ever happens.

I am logged in as a user with Admin rights, I re-downloaded the installer,
and I tried it on 2 separate machines with the same results. Anyone have any
ideas?

PS
One system is a Dell Optiplex, 1.5 gig ram, 200 gig HD Only Vista RC2 and
Office 2k7, the other is a homebuilt P4 3 Gig HT, 2 gig RAM 300 Gig HD and
only Vista RC2 Office 2k7

My Device is Treo 700 WM5

Supposedly Office 2K7 reports as Office 2k3 if this ever runs the install.

No, is that part of it's set up? The install instructions did not say anythng
like that.

Oh, I know, I guess I just want it flawless. :)

I'll try and report back. Thanks for the input.

Yup, that was it. Thanks Max.
I had an odd issue where it wouldn't syn but I rebooted my PC and my Treoo
700 and all worked fine after that.

So if anyone else is reading this,
Step 1 down load the software
Step 2 install the software
Step 3 connect your device

Should work

If not reboot both your PC and your device to try again.

You're welcome.
Worked for me.
;-)
Now if only The Others would read this thread before starting another one
with the same issue.

Hi Max!

Doesn't work everywhere. I've got a Samsung i730. Not one of the versions,
since Vista Beta 1 has recognized my phone. Latest WMDC beta 3 DOES show a
device driver being installed, BUT no device is added to device manager, even
though it refreshes several times (on install, connect, disconnect). Have
rebooted, even prayed and left posts here.

No one will reply to this... can you?

Cheers!

Erol
