MM2 dies when modifing an existing project

i can't edit anymore my clips because when i click in the time ine to select a clip MM closes immediately without any reason
help me please

also ensure directX is up to date.
Has it just started happening?
Have you recently installed any apps that may be conflicting?
can you use system restore to go back?
