MM2 and Pictures Freeze

D

denise

I asked yesterday how to fix problems with my movie
freezing. After putting the movie onto a cd, the pictures
freeze but the audio continues. The reply I got was to
switch to DV-AVI. I cannot because I am using scanned
photos, not a DV device. Please help!
Also, I downloaded MM2 yesterday. After the download,
there was an icon on my desktop which installed it on my
computer. After installation I restarted my computer. I
cannot pull up MM2, only MM1. The icon is still there,
but when I click on it, it installs again.

See my other reply about the DV-AVI issue but as far as only MM1 appearing
please check out the Problem Solving...MM2 Will Not Install Or Run section
on PapaJohn's website at http://www.papajohn.org. Hopefully that will
contain an answer.

Hello again Denise,

Did you see my reply to you of today...a few minutes back?

DV-AVI should be available to you with scanned images. What size are
these images and what format are they in? The general principle with scanned
images is that the higher the resolution the better. I have a dedicated film
scanner and always scan at the maximum resolution which results in files up
to 14MB each. I have never thought on this before, but I wonder if the image
is less than 720 x 576 (PAL) would that preclude your use of the DV-AVI
option??? I have just tried it with a 320 x 240 bmp file and the DV-AVI
option is available but it will not create the file claiming there is
something wrong...this is the first time I have ever had that error....so
maybe there is something in it ??

Best Wishes.....John Kelly
