MM2 and Belkin videobus F5U208: aut. restart of PC

I am trying to capture analog video from my sony video
camera by connecting it to my fujitsu siemens PC via the
Belkin videobus F5U208. When using movie maker 1 I was
able to make a short film but then all of a sudden,
without any tangible reason, the PC goes down and restarts
automatically. After downloading movie maker 2 (I thought
it might bring a solution) it became worse. After
selecting the inputdevice in Movie maker (audio of video)
the pc goes down and restarts automatically.

Does anyone have a clue?

This is off topic, but, your problem is symptomatic of either faulty or
poorly installed hardware.
