Missing System file C:WINDOWS/System32/MAPISRVR.EXE

When running my Norton diagnosis progamme it tells me I
have a missing file C:\WINDOWS\System32\MAPISRVR.EXE and
that it cannot access the GAPI32.dll.

I have searched my C: drive and tried to re-install it
from the XP Home CD unsuccessfully. Can anyone give me
advice on how to correct this (if indeed it needs
correcting and isn't simply a Norton foible)?
