This laptop was recently upgraded to XP Pro from XP Home
and it was brought to my attention that the start menu and
taskbar are now missing. I am looking fora way to get this
back. All profiles are missing this.

How do I get this back.
I can be contacted at (e-mail address removed)

This would be your explorer.exe windows file, most likely
is corrupt. The fix is to run the system file checker
tool, by typing in this; " sfc /scannow " with that space
after the sfc, and have your windows XP CD ready to put in
tto copy any needed system files. (It runs as windows file
protection). Also run your disk cleanup and defragmenter
tools as well.
