missing start button

I apologize if this is the wrong newgroup, general was not
available. Windows 2000 desktop is missing start button,
can make it appear ctl-esc.

Hi Kathy

Try this:

- get your Windows 2000 CD ready and put it in your drive.

- press ctrl+esc

- choose 'run' and there in the 'run' window enter "cmd.exe" (without the ")

- in the new windows that you get enter "sfc /scannow" and wait for the
process to finish.


NOTE: if the win2000 general newsgroup is not made available by your
Newsgroup provider, then you can use your webbrowser too in order to access
and post to the win2000 community newsgroups. To do this go here:
