Missing Start Button and Task Bars

I have lost both the Start Button and the Task Bar. I can start progrmas by
doing a Ctl/Esc but cannot get the Start Button back. I ahve tried to put my
cursor at the bottom of the screen but there is nothing there to click on.

Press Ctrl_Alt_Delete at the same time,task mgr opens,new task,type:
cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow Install the xp cd when the graph starts,
exit the info page.When the graph is thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to the
restart,then type:EXIT Restart the computer,also,run the DOS window in
Min.,sometimes the graph runs behind it.
