missing shortcut icons on desktop

Hello,

I created a component with several shortcut resources. The target path is
specified as %16409% (desktop). After FBA I see all the .lnk files in the
desktop directory but I don't see any shortcut icons on the desktop.

Any idea why the icons are missing from the desktop?

Please select "Show Desktop icons" in "User Interface Core" component.

Ans: Newsgroup in Taiwan, microsoft.public.tw.windows.embedded


Q: In my local version of XPE(add MUI component), almost all shortcut
in start menu cannot be displayed. can you give me some advice?

Ans: Please explorer into Administrator & All Users under Documents
and Settings directory.
You will find 2 directories for the Start Menu, one is
English "Start Menu" and another is Chinese "¶}©l¥\¯àªí".
You should copy and paste shortcuts manually.
