After a few months of not using my Pioneer CD/DVD-RW drive, I now find that I
can not burn files or photos to that drive. My computer seems to be searching
for an eternity and nothing happens. It used to write to a temporary file and
a balloon would advise me I had files ready to copy. That no longer happens.
I searched the Micorsoft help site and found article ID 316529 and at first
thought it would help because it talked about the "Record Tab" on the drive
properties box and I discovered that the "Record" tab on my drive property
box was missing. I changed my registry for the drive to a type "2" ( CD-RW),
but I still do not have a record tab for the drive and I still can not send
files or photos to the drive for burning. I think if I can figure out how
to put the "Record Tab" back, I might be OK. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
