Missing Pics

I downloaded pics from my camera using the same methods as always and saved
them with the rest of my pics. I viewed them and then tried to email them.
The email disappeared and so did the pictures. Any ideas on why this
happened and how I can find my pictures? The email was never received.

Just a thought...

It sounds like you may have failed to
actually save the images to a folder
on your hard drive. IOW...maybe you
were viewing them from the memory
card in the camera. Maybe you could
re-download them again?

As for the e-mail...when you attach an
image to an e-mail message...it has no
effect on the original image files.

i actually viewed them from a folder named Halloween 2006 before I attempted
to email them. Never had this problem before with the thousands of pictures
downloaded from my Kokak camera. I have done several searches but no luck.
They disappeared along with the email. I cannot get them from the camera
again because after they were viewed in the above folder in MY PICTURES, they
were deleted from the camera as has been done lots of times before with no
problems like this.

I don't know why this happened. This is a first.

work with all cards?

It should...why not give it a try?

It's free, what's there to lose?

At least it wasn't a total loss.

Maybe some were overwritten, or
corrupted. If you download directly
from the camera, low batteries
can cause problems

I always recommend using a USB
card reader. And before doing any
editing, emailing or anything else...
I always copy my originals to a CD-R
as a backup.

There's got to be a first time. The more
connections...the more chances for failure.
It may never occur again, but personally...
I would not risk it.

I would sugggest using that option in the future.
