Missing or corrupt pci.sys file

I upgraded to windows XP from 98. I decided to add another 128 mb of memory
to give me 384 mb total. When I try to start windows I get the pci.sys
error. No problem with the memory at 256. Is there some setting I have to
change. Thanks!

I forgot my system info.

Dell XPS T700r
Pentium III 700 mhz

Could be a mismatch in memory, does the system work start-up OK with 128M.

I had that problem ..but not memory related ...I just found the file on the
web and put it back in c:\windows\system32\drivers

and no more errors
