missing ntdetect file

I accidently deleted the ntdetect.com file and now i cant
start my computer. Toshiba tech support was not helpful.
I tried following some instructions in the knowledge base
but it didn't seem to woark. I have access to a Win2000
machine. Any ideas most appreciated.

Boot from the Win XP CD and enter the Recovery Console. At the Command
Prompt type the following ( "X" is your CD-Rom drive letter).
COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:
