Missing mice and other pointing devices from Device Manager - Urgent!!!

Hi All,

I managed to bugger up my dad's computer while plugging or removing
some USB devices. The mouse is no longer functional and there is no
entry for mice and other pointing devices in Device Manager. The OS
is XP Pro SP2. I need a fix as soon as possible.

Please email all suggestions/fixes to (e-mail address removed).

Try going back to Device Manager>USB Controllers. Rt click on each one
and choose Uninstall. Restart and let XP reinstall them.
