To : Every one ,

I have trouble on my access file . I'm using 2003 version.
First , i have run setup the security wizard on " tools > security " , then
i follow the step which will create a mdw file and short cut of the my access
file.
however , i'm incautious to delete the mdw file . So i can't open my access
file again.
when i open the oringal access file , it will appear " you don not have
necessary permissions to use the c:\documents and
settings\administrator\desktop\temp\backup_task.mdb object. Have your system
administrator or the person whp created this object establish the appropriate
permissions for you. "
When i open the short file which is created by security wizard , it will
appear " Microsoft office Access can not find the c:\documents and
settings\administrator\desktop\temp\security.mdw

Please help ~~ and thanks for all guys~~
Regards,

Eric

I'm assuming you mean that you deleted the new mdw file the wizard created.
Can you recover it through the Recycle bin? That would be the easiest way.
If you can, try restoring it to the original location and see if your
shortcut works.

Did you write down/print out the exact specs you used when creating your new
workgroup file? The wizard prompts you a couple of times to do this ..
When i open the short file which is created by security wizard , it will
appear " Microsoft office Access can not find the c:\documents and

What do you mean by "short" file ... do you mean the Shortcut that was
created?

You can rebuild your workgroup by clicking Tools - Security - Workgroup
Administrator and then rebuilding your workgroup file. You must use EXACTLY
the same information that you did when building the file initially.
