Missing HTML page content?

When viewing pages on my home machine running Windows XP
& IE6 with SP1, I am missing content on certain HTML
pages.

For example:

http://www.comcast.net/comcast.html

(my homepage) should have a Google search-bar just below
the header tabs that is completely missing (not even a
space where it would go);

http://www.yngwie.org/news/Contents2.html

has a whole page full of menu-buttons - on my machine,
everything above the "email the webmaster" line is just
blank.

I have tried tinkering with the advanced setting and
security settings for ActiveX and Java scripting with no
change. Comcast support suggested re-installing Flash
but I really don't think that has anything to do with it.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Check out my recent post titled "SOLUTION to slow
browser" -- I am also a comcast user and started having
problems after I installed service pack 4. There is a
technical problem that may have been caused by the COmcast
update program. I give the details of the solution there.

Thanks, I will check it out - but I have had this problem
since December 2002 when Comcast was still ATTBI, so I'm
inclined to think it's the settings on my machine,
somewhere. I will let you know if your solution works.
