Missing File

When I try to launched the Outlook 2003, this message comes up, "Cannot start
Microsoft Office Outlook. MAP132DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. this
could have been caused by installing other messaging softyware. Please
reinstall Outlook." I installed the Microsoft Office Professional Edition
2003 and uninstall it. I have Windows XP Pro. I once had the Office 2007
trial, removed it but the Office 2007 updates are still there. I even open
the detect and repair to fix it from Microsoft Word. it says Outlook was
installed successfully. Can I removed the 2007 updates and if so, will that
fix the problem. Thank you very much.

Common problem with Outlook 2003 after removing Office 2007 Trial.

1) Navigate to Program Files....Common Files....System.....MSMAPI....1033.
There is the file MSMAPI32.DLL.

2) Rename this file to MSMAPI32.OLD.

3) Start Outlook 2003. It should rebuild MSMAPI32.DLL

Hal, hi. I did as you instructed but another window comes up saying, "Cannot
start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open Outlook Window. The set of
folders could not be opened." Any more suggestions? Thank you

Hal, I'm running a registry cleaner,RegCure. Would that have anything to do
with it? And should I uninstall the Office Professional Edition again? Thanks
