Missing file msvcr80.dll

When I run Norton One-Button check-up it gives me 14 problems where programs
cannot access msvcr80.dll.

Typically the message is:

"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ApplLaunch.exe" cannot access
a necessary file, "msvcr80.dll"

where "ApplLaunch.exe" is a different exe file in each entry.

I get the impression that this is an easy problem to fix; can someone tell
me how please?!

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Glenn.

Why don't you search your system drive in order to find out if that
file is present in the %windir%\WinSxS\... subfolder/s.

If ain't broken, don't fix it. If the file "msvcr80.dll" is present,
remove "Norton" in order to get rid of your "problems".

Hi,

Or even more logical, ensure that users have read access to that file.
