I have norton sitting on add & remove programs, unable to remove and
re-install- gives the error as
installation missing file instops.dat

Dear Ann,

You would need to download and install the newest Microsoft Windows Installer

1. Download the version of the MSI file for your version of Windows at
the Microsoft Web site:
* Windows 9x & Me
* Windows NT & 2000
2. Follow the instructions on the Microsoft Web page to install the
Microsoft Windows Installer

Next, you would need to uninstall your Norton Program and reinstall.
