Missing fax icon

My fax icon is missing from Control Panel. I have tried
Add/Remove Windows components, but fax isn't listed.

How can I get the fax icon back? Thanks

If you are using Win2K, fax is already installed on ur machine ...i.e it is
not an optional component.
If you have just deleted the shortcut, it should not be a problem. Just
check for the fax related dlls and exes in your windows/system32
directory... ie.
dir %windir%\system32\fax*.dll
dir %windir%\system32\fax*.exe
if u find the following faxsvc.exe, faxsend.exe u could just start the fax
service
using net start fax and then call faxsend.exe to start sending faxes. (you
could also create a shortcut!)
