Hi,

I have a client running Outlook 2003 connecting to a server running Exchange
Server Enterprise 2000. When I enable cached exchange mode only emails older
than 3 weeks i showing up in the inbox. The problem is only in the inbox.
When I then disable exchange mode all the emails reappear in the inbox.

Last week I had a similar case and i resolved it by exporting all the users
email to a .pst file. Deleting the user and the users mailbox. Created the
user and mailbox again and imported the email. But I hope there is some
easier way to fix this.

I have also tried disabling cached mode, deleting the .ost file(s),
reenabling cached mode - but with no luck.

I hope someone can help me.

Best Regards

Brian

Try recreating this user's config on your own system. Log on as them,
enable cached mode, etc. This eliminates their computer and its config
as a variable. I bet a new Windows Profile does the trick, but that is
a long shot guess. This approach may not give you the answer, but it
will give you more info.

Hi John,

I can recreate the problem on another computer. It seems that it is on the
server or maybe a mail in the inbox that is the problem. I will experiment a
bit more and post again.

Hi again,

I have found the problem. It was an email with an attached word document
which could not open, could not be saved and could not be forwarded. But
when I deleted it - the cached exchange mode started working again.

Best Regards

Brian
