Mail missing from Inbox when using Cached Exchange Mode

I am not sure if this is an Outlook or Exchange issue so I am sorry if
this posted to the wrong group.

We recently upgraded our Exchange server to Exchange 2003. Since this
time one of the people in our office does not see all of the items in
her mailbox when 'Use Cached Exchange Mode' is checked. Anything that
was there before the Exchange upgrade no longer appears in her Inbox.
When I unclick the 'Use Cached Exchange Mode' and restart outlook all
messages appear in her Inbox.

I would like for all her mail to appear when 'Use Cached Exchange Mode'
is checked.

She is running Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2003. I have already tried
deleteing the ost file and creating a new one but the result was the
same.

Has anyone had this happen or know how to fix the problem.

Have you checked the Event Viewer on the Exchange server already? It might
indicate an issue with the database there.
A client side workaround (NOT a fix!) that works quite often is to log on
with Cached Exchange Mode disabled and move the mails to a temp folder and
then back to their original location. Enable Cached Exchange Mode again and
see if it synchs correctly now. If not the message where it halts on might
be corrupt. Delete the item on-line and resynch.

Another workaround is to export the mailbox on the server with exmerge and
then import it again.
