Missing drivers

Please I need help finding missing drivers for two devices.
1) Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller ~
Error Message:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24DD&SUBSYS_01741028&REV_02\3&172E68DD&0&EF
The drivers for this device are not installed.(Code 28)
2) PCI Input Device ~
Error Message:
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_7004&SUBSYS_10031102&REV_0 \4&1C660DD6&0&09F0
The drivers for this device are not installed.(Code 28)

-I can't find these drivers on Dell's 'Resources CD' (Dimension4600i)

- 'Add Hardware Wizard' can't find them on the Internet.
- The 'Update/Re-install\Driver' options do not solve the problem either.

Please can someone help me?

I remember code 28. that's a sound problem, right? In case I don't see
your reply. I'm guessing you have no sound. Common in XP after upgrade or
install of other device. Hard to say what's wrong. I usually reinstall XP.
but that's a pain and can wipe out info.

An excellent tool like Aida32 will help you to identify the manufacturer of your USB and any other devices like the PCI. Aida32 has many links that will direct you to the driver download sites for your stuff or at the very least the manufacturers site to get help. The problem is that USB controllers are made by thousands of suppliers and can greatly depend on such things as your chipset. If you don't know what these are then this can be a tiring and frustrating experiance. http://www.computerhope.com/help/bus.htm#10 gives you some idea of how to go about determining your PCI . Aida32 is you best bet.
