Missing Drivers????

Hi,
I've just installed XP Pro over Home after formatting the HDD and everything seems ok except device manager shows problems with:-

Multimedia Audio Controller
SM Bus Control
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

The only symptom that is obvious at the momemt is no sound. I've tried updating drivers, roll back drivers (non backed up), uninstalling and rebooting to see if hardware wizard would find them. But all it said was .."could find non better than those installed".
I've been into 'Sounds' and everything (volume, audio etc. radio buttons for adjustments) is greyed out (unavailable).
I don't know how to find out which drivers I need to look for on the net.
Can anybody help, please!!!!!!

TIA

The drivers for your audio and video controllers will be found on the web
site of the manufacturer.

Also, note this: If your computer is an OEM computer, such as Dell, HP,
Compaq (which actually is HP), etc., you may need to let it search for
drivers on your support CD that came with the computer. Another way to
easily get links to your drivers would be to install a program like
Everest Home Edition from www.lavalys.com . This will give you all the
information about your computer, its hardware, and the links to its
drivers ;)

Actually, Nathan has been posting very good advice and help, all of which has been accurate, and helpful. This in spite of your lack of knowledge revealed by your attacking others help requests, because you're too fü¢king stupid to know much/learn about PC hardware/softwares to give any help..

Get help you bint!

This is because you have not installed the motherboard drivers....
If you've lost/misplaced the CD that came with the computer/motherboard,
search mfg's homepage
