Missing dll, Will XP upgrade disk have what I need?

Hi. After running sfc /scannow, I get the usual missing dll message. After
trying to fix the problem by changing the sourcepath entries, I still have
the problem which makes me think my I386 folder is damaged. I cannot locate
the I386 folder on my restore disks, the only disks I received when I
purchased the laptop. I also have Windows 98 on my desktop and would like to
upgrade to XP. My question is: Will the upgradable version have what I need
to fix those pesky dlls, if I'm going to buy it to upgrade my 98 anyway? Or
would I have to get the full version? Thanks!

Hi,

Most probably your restore disks have an image of the hard drive in the factory default settings.
