Missing .dll (mscore.dll) W-XP V2002/SP1

W-XP Home V2002/SP-1; Norton Sys Works
I am unable to install a "patch" to a program as it is
looking for "next disk", when it is only a single file
udate- so say the programmers of the program.
Norton S/W says that I am missing a file "mscore.dll".
( ...install shield\professional\run time\0700\intel32
\DOTNETINSTALLER.exe is looking for the above missing
file, in three locations; {0700/0701/& 09/00})I have done
a search in ALL locations for the wayward file to no
avail!
Does any of this make sence to anyone?
