Missing DLL files

When I was doing a routine disk cleanup as normal and started windows up agin
in the normal manner I was unable to boot into window and got the message "no
DLL for kernal (or something similar).

Anybody any help please!!

On next startup Tap F8. You should get a Menu. Select Last Known Good
Configuration

If what Rich suggested doesn't work post back with the exact error message.
