Missing .dll File

I have Windows XP SP2 on my home computer. I keep getting the "blue screen"
and my computer shuts off. I tried reinstalling Windows SP and it tells me
that I'm missing file "MSWMDM.dll".

I'm also getting a message that says I have a virus: WIN32/RUSTOCK.gen!c

Any help with either of these problems would be very much appreciated!

Thank you.

Go to http://aumha.org/secure.htm. Click on Forums at the very top, then
scroll down to the Security section, choose a forum and post your problem
there. This needs more focused attention and experience than can typically
be found here. I don't find any removal tools that list that virus as one
that can be removed. You need someone who's familiar with that virus to help
you clean up (if that's possible.)

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
