Missing dialog box components

Help

I've got an adaptec driver in a zip file. When I double click the zip, the
WinZip self extractor appears. However I don't get any text in the buttons.
I can see the buttons but the have no text on them, it's a just a gray box.
Also when I try to install other apps, the install dialog boxes are missing
parts, buttons or shrunk down in size.

Whats causing this?

I've got the Font Object Embedding library , Font Prototype, and code page
application compatiablity components in my SLX image, and I left them at the
default setting, Am I missing something?

I souldn't have this much troubles with fonts.

Jason,

You are either missing a system font (often MS San SerifF or MS San SerifE) or there are some annoying FontSubstitues reg entries on
your runtime.

For the fonts you can either manually include all the required fonts (use FontTracker component from www.xpefiles.com to analyze
what's missing) or add all of them with Fonts component from xpefiles.com. IIRC, there is also Font Compatibility macro in FP2007
and there was also and "all-fonts" component posted on XPe Team blog.

Also, add SysFonts component from www.xpefiles.com. VGA fonts that are added with it are often helpful while fixing issues like
yours.

Also, delete [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes] key at the run time, reboot and see
if it helps.
