Missing Desktop

Everything starts up as normal except the desktop! It
seems it's happening to a lot of people today! Anyway all
I get is my wallpaper and my mouse pointer, nothing else!
Is this some sort of awful virus???

Please Help!

as I have said in a previous post.


right click on any part of you desktop screen and select ARRANGE ICONS BY,
in the next menu that open up, select SHOW DESKTOP ICONS.


DONE.

If you have Pro type in a command prompt

tasklist /m >"%userprofile%\desktop\module.txt" and post the file that appears on your desktop

I can't right click and I can't go to command prompt
since the start bar is'nt there either! and now a little
thing called "project1" popped saying "it's time" with an
ok button! Should I click ok or is this a virus that's
causing all this?

The answer is there . I was getting that message about " Its Time " as
well .
