Jsut instaled FP 03 on my work computer and
the "Database" option on the "Insert" menu is greyed out.
Is this something special on install now or am I missing
something. If I run FP 02 on the same machine/server
the "Database" option is available.

Any idea's ?

Thanks,
JCrowe

Hi

I have the same problem. This worked in FP2000 as well..

I'm looking into it but haven't found the answer - yet..

Hi

I found the answer - at least it worked for me

Select the 'Complete' option from the Tools->Page options->Authoring Tab. (This tip was found be searching "greyed out" - it seems that other components are unavailable too as standard in FP03

Stupid that this isn't standard - you hear me, Microsoft...

I have this problem with FP02, how do I fix it. I don't have a Authoring
Tab on the page options window.

Under Tools | Page Options | make sure you have all of the options selected as well as the
extensions and IIS.

Thomas means: the Compatibility tab under Page Options. In FP02 it was
called Compatibility, in FP03 it is called Authoring.

However, since you had to have turned this option off at some point, it
might not be something you want to enable. If you turned it off for no
reason, then just check the boxes, but if you are authoring on some site
that doesn't allow for ASP, you shouldn't bother enabling this feature
because it won't work on your server.

Thanks John!
