Missing Contol Panel Application: Modem

Mark Warbeck

Running Windows XP Pro, I don't have the Telephone and Modem app in the
Control Panel. I tried installing a modem but the OS doesn't recognize it.
Searching for a modem with Add New Hardware didn't help, nor did trying to
install the driver by right clicking the inf file and choosing Install. Any
ideas?

Hi Mark,

Suggestions and Standard Checkpoints:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager,
Telephony.
