Missing Background Colors

Twice I have seen this and can cure by a clean re-install of XP, but there
must be a better way. The background colors/tints are missing on web pages.
The fonts are too large and not organized. Like at support.microsoft.com
page, frames are missing; fonts huge; like the script is gone or something.
Did the scripting engine 5.6 update with no results. In Norton Antivirus
2005, it is real evident because all the yelow is missing from the
backgrounds when viewing the LiveUpdate menus.

Try reinstalling or updating your video card drivers. Then make sure
your resolution is set to something reasonable for your monitor, like
1024x768.

I downloaded and installed the latest video drivers. After I let Windows
choose what's best, the color problem turned out to be only in Internet
Explorer. Thanks for the help.
