Please help! I am trying to migrate outlook exress email
messages from a machine running Win. ME to a machine
running Win XP. I have found the email on the ME machine
(all files end in *.dbx) and saved it to zip disk. When
I try to import to the XP machine, it says no messages
found on the disk. Yet they are there. Therefore they
are not being recoginzed. Can anyone help? I used the
same process when I went from Win98 to WinME and it
worked fine. Is this something with Outlook express and
WinXP?
Thanks for any help

Copy the DBX files to the HDD of the WinXP machine (suggest a folder created
for this purpose on Desktop, for convenience). Remove the Read Only
attribute the files will have by default.

OE File>Import>OE6 [even if WinME was running OE5]>Store directory> point
the wizard to the folder on Desktop>...

Folders.dbx *must* be in the backup set for Import to work.
