Yes, it does. More exactly, it does nothing to remove or change the existing
entries. If there are existing .acl files and/or a normal.dot template from
Office 2000, the installer won't overwrite them. (This is part of the reason
many problems can't be solved by reinstalling part or all of Office -- the
most frequently damaged files aren't reinstalled.)
But if you don't completely trust this process (why would I think that?
<g>), you can export the entries to a document from Word 2000, do the
upgrade, and then import the entries in Word 2003. A template with the
necessary macro is at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm. However, this
export/import would have to be done separately on each PC.
