Where is the MIDI setting in Vista, where one can choose a MIDI synth,
as is possible in XP.

Similarly, the device setting, for choosing what sound device is to be used?

Vista does not support midi as you would normally think of midi.

Which file does Vista use to store the default MIDI playback instruments?
Mine have become corrupted (by a patch for an old game that used MIDI music),
need to restore them.. which file are they in?
