MIDI keyboard

I just bought a Radio Shack MD-4072 MIDI keyboard. I am new to MIDI, and
want to know if I can just hook up the keyboard directly into the computer (a
Dell Dimension 4700), or do I need other peripherals to make it work.
Anybody know? Where could I go to learn more about MIDI?
