Rich

Rich,

Why don't you learn how to snip properly in newsgroups, by leaving the
relevant part of what you're replying to. Posts like yours above is
meaningless to those who don't use a newsreader in threaded view.

Is a fictitious (factious?) name any different than using a munged
email? How does anyone know you're "Frank"?
I do!
Frank[/QUOTE]

Well, since you can't answer two questions in one shot, I'll do it for you:

Is a fictitious (factious?) name any different than using a munged
email?

No.

Because "Frank" is one of the most stupid pricks you'll find on UseNet as
witnessed by every post "Frank" makes. So it must be "Frank". <snort>

No.

That's not even close to being true but then again, I don't really care.
I use my real name and "mug' [sic] my email address to avoid spam. I
believe a lot of us do that including you.
Unless your lying of course.

I can think of some things a royal Royce can offer you instead of a yugo...

But vista is not a royal Royce.. its a decommissioned garbage truck

Let me put it this way..

vista and xp have the same basic structure... one is loaded with tons and
tons of crap, giving it bad mileage and performance, while the other is
lightweight and fast...

which one do you want? CRAP you say.. ok have it for all I care.

You're on drugs, aren't you and you're absolutely lost in Vista.
That's ok, so are a few others but most have found their way out of the
darkness and into the sunlight...it's called Vista...the window to the
world.

You never do, so that's the conclusion.

It's exactly true, regardless if you don't care. A "name" is nothing.
Whether you're "Frank" or "Alias", either could be made up. I suppose
you think "Doris Day" is that posters real name also.

Your email address is completely fake. In case you hadn't noticed, mine
is munged for spam but without the NOSPAM (which my sig states to remove
if trying to reach me), it is an actual address. People can reach me if
necessary, unlike you. I don't hide from the world.

And I'm not lying Frank...

That was a much better analogy...

Frank,

It's comments like these that make you a little bit unbelievable:

"most have found their way out of the darkness and into the sunlight"
"it's called Vista...the window to the world"

You go just as overboard as the ones you are criticizing. Can't you
objectively remain neutral, or must your fervor for Vista sound obsessive?

Good for you. Bit I'm not looking for business in ng's.

I hope so but I don't really care.

No, but don't accuse someone of the same thing you deem acceptable to
yourself.
I hope so but I don't really care.

Yes, you do appear to be a very uncaring person.

Both of them are stupid to use a name that means "sight". It makes you
wonder if Steve and the Boys even know what vista means in English. I
know you, Frank, had no idea what it meant until it was spelled out
for you numerous times and I'm still not sure you understood. That
didn't stop you from BRAGGING about installing "Vista" but REFUSING
to reveal ONE thing that Vista can do that you can't do with XP or
Ubuntu.

You're confusing NEED with WANT. No one NEEDS more than one pair of socks or
even a microwave. Most users probably do not NEED Vista; they simply WANT
it.

Their "wants" simply do not square up with yours. Your strawman argument
("need") is simply irrelevant.

For the record, I know a number of people who could certainly afford to
buy vista but have better sense.

Considering I didn't use the words "need" or "want" once, much less
spell out my needs or wants and compare them to others, your post
assumes a lot. I merely asked what Sight can do that XP or Ubuntu can't
do and stated my opinion on the name of the OS. I don't think that's an
unreasonable thing to ask on a Sight newsgroup. Nor do I think it has to
do with an argument or a straw man argument. Do you have the answer?
