More stupid, irrelevant postings form capin' crunch!
Frank

Both of them are stupid to use a name that means "sight". It makes you
wonder if Steve and the Boys even know what vista means in English. I
know you, Frank, had no idea what it meant until it was spelled out for
you numerous times and I'm still not sure you understood. That didn't
stop you from BRAGGING about installing "Vista" but REFUSING to reveal
ONE thing that Vista can do that you can't do with XP or Ubuntu.

Did you mean to type "fictitious"? Again, there is no proof that your
name is Frank and, of the billions of Franks in the world, there is no
way to know which Frank you are, if, indeed, your name is "Frank". There
is NO WAY of knowing that any name used here is a real name.

I can afford to buy as many copies of Sight (aka, Vista) as my little
heart desires. I own a successful business and money is not a problem.
If you or anyone else can reveal what Vista can do that XP or Ubuntu
can't do, I'll consider it. So far, with the hundreds of posts a day
here in this very newsgroup, I see no reason to downgrade to the DRM
riddled and ineffective "anti piracy programs" riddled Sight.

Charming.

You ask Frank to reveal ONE thing that Vista can do that you can't do with
XP or Ubuntu.

How is the revelant? Name one thing you can do with Rolls Royce (or any
other high end
car you care to name) that you can't do with say a Toyota Celica (or any
other low end car
you care to name)? Now, despite the high end car and the low end car doing
exactly the
same thing, which one would you rather be driving? The answer is, it
depends on you, and
what you like, not anything intrinistic to the cars. The same thing is true
of your choice in
operating systems, since they all do about the same thing. Heck, even old
DOS still allowed
you do about anything you can do in Vista, XP, or Ubuntu.

It must be weird to live in Frank's world. Have you come up with one
good reason to switch from XP or Vista besides Microsoft said it, you
believe it and that settles it, Frank (or whatever he/she/it is
currently using)?

Yeah that justifies the cost of Sight, "Sight ready" hardware and the
time to go through the Sight learning curve. Inquiring MS XP user minds
want to know ;-)

Snip car metaphor that isn't relevant.

Is a fictitious (factious?) name any different than using a munged

DOS? Sorry Larry, comparison stops there, or maybe you never used it...

What I DID love about DOS (programs) was that they installed into a
single folder. When you wanted to uninstall it, you deleted the folder.
No registry entries, no dll's in system32, no application data entries,
Local settings entries, Common Files entries. And with a 386-20
processor, a program like DesqView and 2 MEG of RAM (that was $900 per
meg at the time), I could run up to 6 apps and switch back and forth
between them.
